Tina
Borger is
the Director of Research and Technical Resources
for the National Institute of Governmental
Purchasing, Inc. (NIGP), an international
non-profit association for the public
procurement profession, headquartered in the
Washington, DC area. She is a Certified Public
Purchasing Officer (CPPO) and holds a Master of
Business Administration degree. Over the years,
Tina has been a frequent speaker on topics such
as procurement management and leadership,
public-private partnerships, and e-procurement
for numerous public and private sector groups.
Before joining NIGP in October 2007, Tina was
the Procurement Manager for Loudoun County,
Virginia. While heading the procurement office
at Loudoun, she led the national award-winning
Procurement Division’s transformation from a
command and control focus to one of striving for
excellence in all areas. As a strong believer
in the strategic value of procurement, and
continuous improvement, Tina brings great
interest and passion to the topic of Lean
Thinking in public procurement. |
