You may request an eligibility application by calling (804) 236-3670. Only the following Virginia organizations are eligible: State and local government agencies, public schools and public universities. Certain types of non-profit groups may be eligible, including:

  • accredited schools, grades K though 12
  • accredited institutions of higher education
  • licensed healthcare providers
  • approved museums
  • educational radio and television
  • accredited libraries
  • licensed child care centers
  • agencies that fall under the Older Americans Act
  • providers of services to the homeless
    Property is not sold to the general public.


    State Surplus
    Property is sold by various competitive methods to the general public. All property is sold "as-is, where-is" without express or implied warrantee. Payment must be in cash, cashiers or certified check at the time of purchase. Terms and conditions may vary and will be announced the day of the sale.
